Brian Cweren Is The Right Choice For Houston District C
brian cweren Brian Cweren is a native second-generation Houstonian. Brian learned the values of hard work, integrity and helping others from his family. Brian's father started his own business in the scrap metal business; this allowed Brian to see first hand the virtues of responsibility and working long hours to get the job done right.

Brian graduated from HISD's Bellaire High School. From there, Brian studied at the University of Texas, achieving a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on real estate in 1994. In 1997, Cweren earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.

During his time at the University of Texas, Brian undertook a number of internships, including with the Texas Supreme Court, former President George H.W. Bush, Vinson & Elkins and District Judge Paul R. Davis. Brian was a member of a number of Honor societies and served on the University of Texas Bar Association Student Board of Governors.

 brian cwerenBrian is active in a number of Houston civic organizations. In 2005, Houston City Council unanimously appointed Cweren to the City of Houston Ethics Committee. Brian has served as chair of the City of Houston Police Department Citizen Review Committee, appointed by the mayor, between 2000 and 2002. During his tenure on this committee, Brian reviewed serious grievances in HPD and served as an adviser to the Chief of Police.

Brian is a real estate attorney and is the principal of the Law Offices of Brian P. Cweren. Brian’s practice takes him throughout the State of Texas. He is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer on the legal issues pertaining to Texas Landlord-Tenant law.
